Media report two was on suicide. A little girl was the only survivor in the four person murder/suicide. The mother and youngest daughter were suffocated and the older daughter was stabbed to death. Three victims and the man who killed them were all found dead. The victims were killed two weeks before murderer. The policed were tipped by the Uncle who was calling to check on his niece. Once police got to apartment officers called to the man upstairs and the man did not respond. Then they heard two gun shots. A child ran out. The man died from suicide.

Chapter 11 on stress, discusses a possible reaction to frustration. Escape or withdrawal are ways that people sometimes respond to their frustration. A drastic way of escape is suicide. One wonders how life can be so bad that you want to take your own life? This article deals with a man who was obviously stressed with unknown problems. This man reacted crazily by first murdering his family and then he tried to escape his enduring problems by taking his own life. Stress is serious.

  1. This is a sad article. I agree stress is a very serious problem. Some people need to know that there are people out there that care about them.
